The Twilight Lounge

The Twilight Lounge It can be seen in the 1960 movie Ocean’s 11, and as rumor holds, was the inspiration for the song, “New York, New York."

Still the place to be and be seen, the legendary Twilight Lounge evokes the swagger and smell of America’s Mid-Century Modern era and the feeling of good times past. A favorite late night drinking establishment for the Rat Pack whenever they were in Prairie du Chien, Frank Sinatra called it the “last real gin joint in Crawford County." The Twilight Lounge still retains its reputation for serving u

p stiff drinks, premium cigars, American standards, and soft jazz with a hipster intimacy. Among the many celebrities who were regular patrons are Don Rickles, Grace Kelly, Al Pacino, Jackie Mason, Faye Dunaway, Stanley Kubrick, Joey Heatherton, Rowan and Martin, The Smothers Brothers, Muhammad Ali, Anne Margaret, Shirley MacLaine, Ernest Hemmingway, Steve McQueen, Beverly Kinney and Bruce Lee.
