COVID Requirements:
Indoor diners 12 years or older must have proof of full vaccination or 72-hour negative test, along with photo ID. Outdoor diners do not. All patrons must wear masks indoors while traversing the restaurant. To-go drinks can be ordered at the bar while wearing a mask and without proof of vaccine or test, as long as they the drinks consumed elsewhere.

Return of this Thursday in our lodge. All is welcome to come and give a thank you to hospitality professionals. It should be a party! Guest bartenders, special food and drink menus, a negroni fountain. will be spinning records.
Bull valley will be open too, if you want to get your fix for more to eat and drink.

It’s official, beginning on National Indigenous Peoples Day. We will be open for dinner every Monday between 5pm and 9pm. Reservations are now available through our website and a link is in our bio.

Since Bull Valley Inn opened in 1964, the restaurant has gone through so many changes, including the name, menu, faces, and hours. While, who we are and what we offer is of utmost importance, WHEN you all can make the trip down the windy road is always the biggest challenge. This additional day to our schedule should give all of you the opportunity for another excuse to travel to Port Costa while we can provide more hours for our hard working staff and keep our freshly prepared fare as tasty as ever! Or maybe just another excuse for you all to have one of the most expertly made cocktails in the bay.

Hello hello lovely folks!

Recently, our staff has been expanding their wine knowledge and we would like to include you on a new segment called “Wine Wednesdays”.  Each month we will spotlight one of the many thoughtfully sourced wines by

Our customers and servers have been extra curious about orange wine of late.  So it is very fitting that our first showcase is Ronco Severo, one of the most renowned orange winemakers in the world, from Friuli, in the most northeastern part of Italy.  
When describing orange wine today, we can quite simply say that it is a white wine made like a red wine that tends to add more texture and complexity in flavor. This wine is made from Ribolla Gialla grapes.

WARNING!!!  Here’s the geeky part…..

“Fermentation on the skins in 15 hectare litre truncated cone shaped oak vats, that allows for a better thermal exchange and avoids elevated fermentation temperatures. After that, the cap of grape skins is frequently punched down without any temperature control or addition of selected yeasts or enzymes. After soft pressing the wine remains on the lees for 11 months in 25-hectare litre Slavonian oak barrels. The wine then ages in the same barrels for another 15 months. It is bottled without filtration or clarification on a waning moon in September. The colour is deep yellow with golden highlights.”

Even with a long aging in oak barrels, this delicious wine is not overly “woody” but rather light, crisp, mildly fruity, and fresh in complexity while still having depth. We think it’s a wonderful wine to start the seasons transition from summer towards fall in not just color but flavor too.

But first, dessert! Welcome to the menu a new sweet treat for your tasting pleasure. Bread pudding served warm and topped with a butterscotch creme anglaise, fleur de sel, and toasted almonds.

Second slide is our labor of love brisket, smoked in house for 16 hours and featured in our brisket sandwich and brisket hash for Sunday brunch!

Lastly and always a crowd pleaser, our burrata plate accompanied by a citrus vinaigrette tossed frisée, THE BEST of stone fruit from our friends over at Kashiwase farms and of course Dirty Girl Produce strawberries !

Lunch starts at 12:00pm tomorrow Saturday the 6th and brunch is Sundays 11:00 to 3:00 then on to dinner service to finish the week! We hope to see ya!
