This Wednesday, April 29th, we’re hosting our first-ever Nikkei & Wine Night a one-night special experience to celebrate our first 100 days of service.
At Blackpearl, milestones aren’t just dates they’re a reflection of growth, resilience, and the community behind us.

We are a chef-driven, contemporary dining experience inspired by the harmony of Japanese precision and Italian flair
built with one goal in mind: to elevate the way our community experiences food, hospitality, and beverage.

Our menu is rooted in seasonality, technique, and global sourcing, where each dish is designed with intention not just to satisfy, but to create balance, curiosity, and connection at the table.

This is why our concept is centered around sharing, much like the dining culture in both Japan and Italy — where great food is meant to be enjoyed together.

Alongside the kitchen, our beverage program is carefully curated, from thoughtfully crafted cocktails to a refined selection of wine and sake — each element designed to complement the experience.

Omakase, meaning “I leave it up to you,” is a chef-curated tasting experience where guests place their trust in the hands of our culinary team. Each evening, the menu unfolds as a carefully composed journey guided by seasonality, technique, and the finest ingredients available.

With only eight seats available, the omakase counter offers a personal and immersive dining experience where guests can witness the rhythm of the kitchen up close every slice, every detail, every course prepared with precision and intention.

Leading the omakase experience is Chef Wei Chen, whose career has been shaped by years of dedication to the discipline and artistry of Japanese cuisine. Chef Wei previously worked at Masa in New York City, one of the most acclaimed sushi restaurants in the world, where he refined his technique and deep respect for traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

Our vision was simple to create something Ponte Vedra Beach & Jacksonville has never experienced before.

Blackpearl is a contemporary Japanese–Italian restaurant in Ponte Vedra Beach created by Chef-Founder Kelvin Ole. Inspired by travel, craftsmanship, and the philosophy of true hospitality, Blackpearl brings together Japanese culture and Italian flair through seasonal shared plates, curated beverages, and an immersive dining experience.

Our menu highlights fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and refined dishes that blend global influences with thoughtful technique. Each plate is designed to be expressive, balanced, and memorable.

Within Blackpearl, guests can discover three distinct experiences:

• The Main Dining Room – our contemporary dining space featuring seasonal tasting dishes, and signature plates designed for sharing and exploration.
• The Omakase Counter – an intimate chef-led tasting experience where guests place their trust in the hands of our chefs.
• Omotenashi Cocktail Bar – a modern Japanese-inspired cocktail bar focused on craftsmanship, precision, and elevated cocktail and warm of japanese hospitality
