local news update: i, Edgar Um, will be playing vinyl records at Tina's Bar in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh this Monday August 19th 2024 from 7pm to 11pm (or a maybe bit later.) admission is FREE. ages 21 and up. "R U 21?"

i'll be playing jazz, funk, latin stuff, weird disco, African, krautrock, Arabic stuff, reggae/dub, darkwave, et. al.

very excited for the show Erica Moulinier, Play Alone Records, Spirit, and I are presenting tomorrow night Friday March 1st at Spirit downstairs: a live performance by acclaimed avant-pop/darkwave chanteuse RIKI [Dais Records: Los Angeles] plus performances by excellent local ensembles DEATH INSTINCT and TAKE ME WITH YOU. Erica and I will be playing tunes before and in-between the live performances too. RIKI is a superstar. i hope we give her a warm welcome to Pittsburgh.
