Congratulations to Karima Walker on all the attention "Hands In Our Names" is getting! Karima's set at The Newton, was a haunting and memorable experience. You can pick up the new album at our neighbor's, Stinkweeds Records.

On her first full-length, Karima Walker fuses structured folk songs with abstracted sound art to create an uncanny Americana.

Southern Rail, one of the fine establishments that inhabits The Newton, is offering a little something extra with every meal, this Wednesday! Their food has always been delicious and I've enjoyed every dish I've tried. But, on Wednesday, you can walk away with the added sense of satisfaction that you've helped preserve another bit of Phoenix history.

Every meal helps keeps a piece of Downtown PHX history alive!

Tickets for Karima Walker, Koleżanka, Feverspeak can now be purchased online (with a $1 service charge).

We are thrilled to be hosting Tucson artist Karima Walker at the Newton! Karima Walker’s music embodies the mythical nature of the desert town she calls home. Her music has a sparse beauty, a dark quietness, and keeps a strong hold on the past while embracing newness and growth. She mixes inspired “folk” tunes with sweeping synthetic soundscapes and just enough uneasiness to keep your darker side engaged. Her local support is made up of favorite musicians and people, including a new project from Kristina Moore (Lai / Foreign Language) as well as the debut of a new project from Dom Armstrong (Engineer at Tempe's fivethirteen Recording Studio).
