Here lies my newest creation... I present to you, The Drunken Peach cupcake. Yes, there's fruit and alcohol inside! Inspired by a friend that needed a combination of alcoholic cupcakes, fresh fruits and a creative mind. Now, I'll be honest here, I'm not the best baker, but I do my best to bake. Practice, practice, practice is all I can say. This will help build your confidence as it did mine. The plan was simple. First, I got some fresh peaches, cooked them down with brown sugar and whiskey. This will be my filing for the cupcakes. The next step was creating the peach nectar icing. After baking the cupcakes, they rested and cooled down with the icing and the peach filing. Once these flavory components were mastered, they were ready to meet each other. The Drunken Peach cupcake was born here. Patience was key. I got out my comfort zone and it paid off!
