Dear friends,
We are discontinuing the Salsa Latin Mix. There will not be a dance on January 5.

It has been a privilege to host this event and to have you as our guest.

We want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this dance.

We are grateful to Isa Lapaj, owner of the Step By Step Dance Studio, for the studio space. His patience allowed us the time and freedom to develop the event into something special.

Thanks to our shining stars, Yany, whose talent and energy inspired us to improve our moves and smile doing it; and to Vangie, whose style and spirit, well, just made me want to be more sexy. Also, thanks to their dance friends, who pitched in to help with instruction as needed or putting together celebrations and such. It only made our evenings that much more of a dance family affair.

Thanks to Roberto, who enjoyed dancing with us so much, he volunteered his DJ services throughout, providing us with those amazing nights of fabulous lighting and dance club sound.

We can’t forget Astrid, who also volunteered her singing talents to add something special for our entertainment. Thank you Astrid Diva!

We also thank you who came to dance and enjoy the festivities. I hope you had a good a time as we had. We enjoyed sharing the dance floor with all of you.

The Salsa Latin Mix is cancelled until further notice due to a medical emergency of a member of the PublicEve.com family.

Anita, our beautiful co-host, was stricken with a brain aneurysm on September 11 while visiting her sister in Sacramento. She endured surgery and a long stint in the ICU. She has since been discharged from the hospital and has made the trip back to La Quinta. She is mending well and in good spirits and on the path to a strong recovery. We thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers.

Yany and I decided the best thing was to cancel our monthly Salsa Latin Mix until Anita can join us again. We will keep you posted on when we will resume our favorite dance event.

***** DANCE UPDATE! *****
Yany and Vangie will not be able to attend the August Salsa Latin Mix due to personal obligations. They will return in September.

Instead, Isa Lapaj, owner of the Step By Step Dance Studio, will give a group class on Cha Cha. We'll start the class shortly after 8 PM.

We'll have social dancing until 10 PM following the group class.

FOUND: A black sweater was found at the Step By Step dance studio after the Salsa Latin Mix Holiday Potluck and Dance on December 2.

It is a black ladies sweater with a Robert Louis label. The size is large.

If this is your sweater, you can pick it up at the dance studio where the event was held.
