Pulse Families and Survivors for Justice

Pulse Families and Survivors for Justice Founded by a victim's mother, survivor, & community members. We are now the largest organized group of PULSE families/survivors for accountability & justice.

We publish documented facts and public records. We are a group of Pulse survivors, victims' family members, and impacted community members fighting against the OnePULSE Foundation's attempt to turn our tragedy into a money-making attraction (aka, a museum). We do not think anyone should make money off a mass shooting, especially Pulse co-owner Barbara Poma who is named in a lawsuit brought by shoo

ting victims for security negligence and premise liability. She does not represent victims and is not keeper of the story. She was not even in the United States when the shooting happened. We demand justice and accountability for the documented code violations and unpermitted renovations at Pulse Nightclub that hindered escape and rescue. Law enforcement never conducted a criminal investigation and the City of Orlando called off an inspection of the nightclub after the shooting to fully document known code violations. We want a public memorial park, with no gift shop on site (as the OnePULSE Foundation put up a gift shop feet away from where our loved ones were brutally murdered). Public tragedies should not be privatized. Check out our YouTube channel, Twitter , Instagram , and read the records for yourself.

You, the taxpayer, are footing the bill for Commissioner Patty Sheehan’s shameless self-promotion through this exploitative fundraiser that benefits the City of Orlando - Government and not survivors.

People spoke out in the beginning at the City of Orlando - Government's moves to exploit the shooting and turn it into a party. The City continues to make a mockery of the massacre through the CommUNITY Rainbow Run, which benefits the City and not survivors who continue to struggle as a result of being a victim of a mass shooting.

Sent the day after the shooting. This is just how tourism people think. It's always been about tourism. The City's memorial is still about tourism.

Clearly, the Pomas thought they were too good for permits. Even after the shooting. This is why accountability is so important. Otherwise, people continue to behave as though they are above the law.

PULSE victims should not be reduced to symbols of any single nation. They should not be assigned a single flag. A memorial should recognize and memorialize their whole lives and whole identities as whole human beings.

For the City of Orlando - Government the Pulse Orlando memorial is nothing more than an exercise of exploitation and a tourism development project; being led by people with zero awareness, experience, or connection to the shooting or its victims.

The decision to assign one flag to each victim as a symptom of larger issue and additional problematic design decisions.

The City and the designers they have selected have made it clear they know better and will not be listening to the public or to the City's own select Memorial Advisory Committee, which was nothing more than a PR stunt.

The City of Orlando - Government is turning the site of the Pulse Orlando massacre into a tourist attraction.

The only ethical path forward is building a modest and fiscally-responsible public memorial park. Not using taxpayer dollars to build a $12M tourism spectacle with a visitor center.

Christine Leinonen Speaks Against the City of Orlando's PULSE Memorial Plans. The City of Orlando is planning on turning the massacre into a tourist attraction. No one wants this. The majority says no.

The City is set on doing harm to PULSE victims/survivors and families. They think they know best. They want to exploit the massacre for tourism. This is unacceptable.

Call your state and local elected officials and tell them the City of Orlando's PULSE Memorial plans are an exploitative waste of taxpayer dollars.
