Im still not completely healthy... whatever is going around isnt very nice. I will be taking Monday Labor Day off to spend time getting it together and with our family. I hope everyone has an amazing holiday weekend.
We are also closed Tuesday for a funeral

🎃👻 Okay… I think I’m finally going to do it. 👻🎃
Every Halloween for years, I’ve dreamed about creating a BIG haunted house. I just never had the time, the space, or the right place to make it happen.
Now we have AFTER… and honestly, I don’t think I could have found a better place to do it. 😈
So this year, we’re going to start planning!
I’m thinking a whole Halloween weekend at AFTER:
👻 Friday night — the scary stuff
🎃 Saturday daytime — a family-friendly version for the younger kids
💀 Saturday night after trick-or-treating — bring on the REALLY scary stuff!
And one thing I really want to do is get local kids and teens involved in creating it. I want them to help come up with ideas, build and decorate, create the different areas, and maybe even become some of the characters that make you jump. 😂👻
But here's where YOU come in…
🎃 WE NEED YOUR OLD HALLOWEEN STUFF! 🎃
Before you throw something away or pack it into the attic for another year, think about AFTER.
Do you have:
🕷️ Halloween decorations
👻 Creepy props
🪑 Old furniture
🕯️ Fabric or curtains
🎭 Masks or costumes
💡 Lights
🚪 Old doors or other things we could transform
🧟‍♀️ Something weird that you have absolutely NO idea what to do with?
We might want it!
It doesn't have to be perfect. Sometimes the strangest old stuff makes the BEST haunted house decorations.
We're starting early because I really want to see just how BIG we can make this.
So if you've got something sitting around that could help us turn AFTER into something seriously spooky, comment below or send us a message.

💛 6 MONTHS OF AFTER 💛
Six months ago, we opened the doors to AFTER with a hope that this little space in downtown Oregon could become something special.
Six months later… we’re still here. ❤️
It hasn’t always been easy. We’ve had busy days, quiet days, big ideas, little setbacks, and lots of learning along the way. But every time a kid walks through our doors, finds a game they love, sits down with friends, makes something, laughs, or simply feels comfortable being here… it reminds us why we started.
We are so thankful for every family, child, parent, homeschool family, teen, friend, volunteer, donor, and supporter who has walked through our doors and helped us keep moving forward.
And honestly, we’re just getting started. 🥰
We’d love to celebrate our 6-month milestone by seeing some familiar faces — and hopefully some new ones too!

Are you looking for a place where your kids can get out of the house, meet other kids, socialize, and just have some FUN?

We'd love to invite you to AFTER Social Lounge in downtown Oregon for our Friday Homeschool Socials!

We've been welcoming homeschool families since the beginning of August, and we'd love to see even more families join us!

Every Friday, homeschool families can come together for games, conversation, activities and time to simply hang out.

$5 per child
$10 maximum per family
❤️ Parents are FREE!

And all of the games and activities inside AFTER are included — there are no additional fees to play.

We'll have snacks and drinks available for purchase, but you don't have to buy anything to enjoy the lounge.

Our goal is simple: create a welcoming place where homeschool kids can meet other kids, build friendships and have somewhere fun to go.

Whether you've been homeschooling for years or you're just getting started, we'd love for you to come check us out.

❤️ A Little AFTER Update
We've been doing a lot of thinking about AFTER and what we want this place to be for our kids.
And the truth is… we're finally getting to a place where there's a LOT to do when you walk through our doors. ❤️
So, effective September 1st, we're making one small change to help us keep AFTER going.
✨ $1 per person
✨ $10 for an AFTER monthly pass
✨ $25 maximum per family per month
And here's what that $1 gets you…
🎮 Arcade games — FREE
🎱 Pool — FREE
⚽ Foosball — FREE
🏒 Air hockey — FREE
🎯 Darts — FREE
🏀 Basketball — FREE
🎮 Gaming systems — FREE
📸 360 Photo Booth — FREE
You pay the $1 to come through the door. Once you're inside, the fun is included.
The only things you'll pay extra for are snacks and drinks.
We're keeping admission as low as we possibly can because we never want money to be the reason a kid can't come hang out with their friends.
📚 Homeschool Social — Fridays
Our Friday Homeschool Social will be:
$5 per child
$10 maximum per family
❤️ Parents are FREE!
Come hang out, meet other homeschool families, let the kids make some friends and enjoy everything AFTER has to offer.
Every little bit helps us cover the costs of keeping the doors open, maintaining the games, stocking the lounge and continuing to bring new things to AFTER.
We're learning. We're growing. We're making adjustments.
But most importantly…
We're building a place where kids actually want to be. ❤️

Looking for some feedback please. Labor Day weekend begins in a few short days. We will be closed Saturday and Sunday, but was wondering about Monday. Usual Mondays are 3:30pm til 7PM, but because there is no school, should I open earlier or does everyone have plans and I should just be closed? thoughts/ideas?

Tuesday afternoon, we've got a little bit of everything happening at AFTER. ❤️
📚 Tutoring • 3:30–5 PM
🎮 After-School Teen Social
Need a little extra help getting that homework done? We've got a quiet place to work and time set aside for tutoring.
Finished with the books? Then it's time to hang out. Grab a friend, play some games, shoot a game of pool, hit the air hockey table, or just relax for a while.
That's what AFTER is here for — a place to go after school.
