Amar is a new regular-production line from AJ Fernandez, launched around PCA 2026 and tied to the rebuilding of his Estelí factory after the 2025 fire.
• It’s a Nicaraguan puro (all Nicaraguan to***cos) with a Habano wrapper, blended to be medium‑to‑full bodied with AJ’s typical dense, complex profile.
Story and positioning
• The line was conceived as a “thank you” cigar after the fire at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Ci**rs de Nicaragua S.A. in Estelí in 2025, dedicated to those who supported the company during recovery.
• The name “Amar” reflects AJ’s Cuban‑Lebanese roots: it means “moon” in Arabic and “to love” in Spanish, so it’s framed as a blend about gratitude and new beginnings.

Yagua by **rs rlounge **rs

J.C. Newman’s first 2026 Yagua release is a Toro-sized, small‑batch drop that began shipping in early April 2026, with the same rustic 6 x 54 palm‑wrapped presentation and under‑fermented Broadleaf profile that has built its cult following.

Yagua continues to use an under‑fermented Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, with Nicaraguan binder and fillers made at J.C. Newman PENSA in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Ci**rs are rolled and tied together while still wet, using strips from the Cuban royal palm (“yagua”), so each cigar presses into the others and ends up with its own irregular shape.

Because the wrapper is not fully fermented at rolling, the ci**rs are aged for about a year after production before being shipped, which is part of why releases are periodic and limited.
