Plus we have a full bar full of delicious craft cocktails! The Backline is the Omaha destination for live comedy shows. Stand-up, improv, sketch shows -- we have them all. While we have comedy forms for every taste, we’re best known for our long-form improv. Twice a month, we even have both of our house Harold teams perform together. Our club also hosts a variety of local comedians and groups, all ready to put on a show with lots of laughs. Inspired by the shows you’ve watched? Good thing we offer classes to teach you the skills and techniques you’ve seen on stage. That’s right, we have courses from beginner to advanced so you can live out your performance dreams.

Thanks to Little Red Hen Theatre for inviting The Backline and our show Cards of Destiny to your theater! We had no idea the small Nebraska town of Wakefield had a theater let alone such a great blackbox theater like you do! We had a blast performing and loved that whole crowd, and hope to be back again someday! If you live near Northeast Nebraska (NE NE) you should definitely go see a show there!

We can't wait to see the photos from the show itself and will be sure to post them when we do! And if you want to see Cards of Destiny in Omaha, you can see it at The Backline Comedy Theatre this upcoming Friday the 16th! (also we have some great comedy shows tonight at Backline as well, stop on by!)

Come for the laughter. Stay because the doors have mysteriously locked behind you.

Horror & Comedy is our favorite combination and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring you both late this Friday night at The Backline Comedy Theatre! (Which we were once told in a review that it "looks like Dracula designed our theater.")

(G)Hosted by Bree Kalhorn, this murderer's row of standup comics features many of our favorites in the city telling jokes about death and all things macabre. Celebrate the spooky season with a night of killer comedy featuring a number of comics recently nominated for Outstanding Comedian in the Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards.

No need to wear a costume for this, but you are certainly welcome if you'd like!
