After 14 years, Somar is stopping its cabaret. With the overall slow in business we have made the decision from being a part time “club" to transitioning to a full time cocktail lounge.

While we would have liked to continue to keep our cabaret going, the costs associated with are just too much to justify. It’s been a good run and now is a good time to bring it back to a simpler operation.

We want to thank all the djs and staff, since opening, for allowing us in making Oakland nightlife pop inside our venue.

We still plan on having a fun environment and this change will allow us to get back to what we orginally strived for and find most important- Customer service and Hospitality.

We hope that our bar will continue to be a gathering spot for good conversation and good times.
