Well, it took 8 months and a lot of crying to OSE on my part, but we are officially on campusgroups!

So Stern Comedy Club is officially part of a new umbrella club called Stern Showcase, which will be run by our very own (and amazing) Niki Taylor!

Q: How is this going to affect the Stern Comedy Club?
A: It won't

Basically, Stern Showcase is going to function as a marketing alliance for Stern Comedy Club, Stern Steps and NPV. Our fall kick-off meeting/happy hour and newsletters will be together, but the day to day activities of the club will not change. I will still be in charge of this club (for better or for worse) and our finances, events, activities, etc. will all be completely separate. We may have some joint events, the same way we would if we partnered with any other club.

Stern Showcase will allow us to build stronger awareness of our clubs and activities.

Ever dreamt of being on a Japanese Game Show or at the very least of watching your classmates participate on a Japanese Game Show?? Then join Stern Comedy Club for Batsu! Face-off Unlimited!

In Japan, batsu means "punishment". Batsu! Face-off Unlimited is a form of comedy competition where four lucky audience "warriors" are selected to compete in challenges and the losers are forced to endure hilarious and outrageous penalties.

Date: Thursday, April 21st at 7:45pm
Location: 15 St. Marks Pl. (East Village)
Length: 75-90 minutes

Join The Stern Comedy Club on Wednesday, March 23rd from 6-8pm for a special Improv Class! This class will be held here at Stern and will be hosted by UCB's own Anthony Apruzzese!

Tickets are $15 and go on sale this Monday at noon via a Google Form I will be posting. Seating will be super limited, so make sure you get your ticket before its too late (womp, womp, womp!)

Note that this class is limited to Stern students ONLY.
