The blues floor is one of our favorite places in the world and a little care goes a long way in keeping it that way. 💙

Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, these 5 reminders help keep our community joyful, safe, and grooving together:

1. Smell great, feel great. Deodorant, fresh breath, and a change of clothes if you run hot. Your future dance partners thank you!
2. Go easy on the scent. Many dancers have fragrance sensitivities; skip the perfume and heavy lotions so everyone can stay comfortable close up.
3. "No, thank you" is enough. You never need to explain a declined dance, and neither does anyone else. Receive a "no" with grace and go ask someone new!
4. Roles belong to everyone. Lead, follow, switch — just have a quick chat when you ask for a dance. No assumptions needed.
5. Honor your partner's comfort. If they pull back, give space. Connection is always a two-way conversation.

If anything doesn't feel right, our door staff and manager on duty are here for you. We've got you.

We'd love to hear from you — what would you add to the list?
