It ran from 1993-1999, and it occasionally organizes reunion parties. The party's mission was to create and maintain diversity and tolerance in the existing club scene of the time. The Night was famous for its music and dj roster, and for its ultra mixed crowd of patrons. It was an important element in night/dance culture globally, as it introduced and evolved many types of House music. It also served as a "muse" to producers, artists, celebrities, djs, and others in the fine arts.
