Columbia University Ballroom Dance Club Offers classes in Standard and Latin, along with practice, mentorship, and competition opportunities

We believe that anyone, at any age or level of experience, can easily pick up and fall in love with ballroom dance. In fact, many of our current members had never danced a step before joining! Our mission is to promote ballroom as an exciting competitive art form, an outlet for creative expression, and a gateway to an amazing dance community. We offers classes and workshops in all ten Internationa

l dances, as well as social dance classes, taught by professional world-renowned instructors. We also host workshops and social dance events, travel to competitions, and organize the annual Big Apple Dancesport Challenge (BADC), one of the largest collegiate competitions on the East Coast! Hi everyone! The Columbia Ballroom Mentorship Application Form has opened! We are very grateful to all our mentors for helping make ballroom accessible for new dancers :) All mentors will receive free registration to Columbia's competition, BADC 2026 or 2027.

All Applications due February 11th at 11:59pm, but if you are seeing this afterwards, please still sign up (and send us an email), we always have more mentees than mentors!

Dear Alumni and Friends of the Columbia University Ballroom Dance Club,

Today is Columbia Giving Day, an annual event during which alumni, students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff join together to support the Columbia community through a 24-hour fundraising period.

Tax-deductible gifts of any amount will help sustain our club and provide enhanced opportunities for our members to gain a fulfilling experience learning ballroom.

Your gift would go towards paying our coaches, running the Big Apple Dancesport Challenge, paying for competition registration and travel fees, and helping our current team of over 60 dancers keep growing!
