If you've ever spent any time at BAR GOTO, you'll no doubt have come across Chris Reed-- one of the kindest, most thoughtful bartenders in the city of New York.
Chris was diagnosed with ALS about a year ago. At this point in time, his health is declining rapidly. He is losing function and mobility, and he will soon reach a point at which he will no longer be able to work, and will have to step down from his position. Just imagine having to do that.
The financial burden on Chris is astronomic with both his medical and personal expenses. We hope that our community will help Kenta Goto, (Pegu's former head bartender for 7 amazing years) in supporting Chris. They are aiming big, and trying to spread the word and raise a total of $250K to help Chris through the rest of his fight with ALS.
Chris is also an alumnus of Pegu Club, and he means the world to us! We would be deeply grateful if you could help out in any way, shape or form, and support him.
Here's the link to his campaign. Please help us in showing Chris all the love, and help to making a difference in his life!
