Delivering a slice of our Sweepstake party in October back to your ears đŸ”„ Live in the Bad Room 🌀

Recorded at Good Room opening for XOXA’s Sweepstake back in October 2025, the trajectory of this set was born out of a frustration to present something cohesive, but that’s impossible for me, especially in a venue known for its dynamic display of genre. Instead, I included everything from Prince to 90’s house gems, Trinidadian Reggae and progressive house, girly-pop electro RuPaul and Egyptian Lover, and electro-clash pop remixes. The night felt like a cause for celebration and confidence, hence the vocal callbacks “you’ve got to believe in something, why not believe in me?” cushioned in the middle of the set, and eventually closing it out.

ALI IRL is a Brooklyn-based DJ by way of metro-Detroit. While no genre is off-limits, his sets lean heavily into ‘80s textures, electro, and variations of house and techno woven together through long-form blends. With a soft spot for the intimate dance-floor, he’s carved out a space in nightlife with a distinctly q***r DIY state of mind, made possible by the support of local selectors and devoted dancers alike at spaces including Bossa Nova Civic Club, Good Room, Jupiter Disco, Elsewhere, Marble Bar.

His recent party series Soundcheck will soon take form as a monthly radio series for 8 Ball Radio, channeling more alternative and downtempo sounds.

London’s rising up with a high energy club mix of true underground selections melding together Detroit and UK sounds 💙

Bluer (He/They)

Bluer’s sets are rich, varied and delectable - always making you want to come back for more. A q***r independent artist hailing from an underclass-background in poverty growing up in the UK, they are acutely aware of the healing-power of electronic music and club culture, and wish to give back to the scenes that made them who they are today. They will take you down an ongoing spiritual route of music that forces you out of the digital world that has seemingly trapped us all and deep into the nature of your soul. Be prepared to open your ears, heart and mind.

Notes on the Mix ///

“This mix came at the perfect timing for what was an awful year personally - 2025. What was a very long, drawn out year with so many things going wrong, I really started to believe that good things can’t happen anymore - then right at the end of 2025 once the dust finally started to settle, XOXA kindly invited me to submit a mix - a silver lining to a year that I would have gladly pushed to the side otherwise! This is a blend of house and techno mainly, as this is what I’ve been reconnecting with again, but with an injection of that Bluer flavour, where I will mix in what the journey requires irrespective of genre. My blends are trippy and extended to ensure you’re navigating your way through the musical journey with intention and ease - as a result you won’t even realise you started with soulful Detroit house sounds and ended with hard-core UK techno and bass. Please enjoy your experience. Much love, Bluer.”

Çe.lía (she/her)

DJ, Tattoo artist, and Illustrator from A Coruña, Spain. Former rave kid turned cozy selector, looking for bouncy, playful rhythms. Neurodivergent that approaches music as focus and release prioritizing movement, texture and feeling over rules.

Notes on the Mix ///

“A bouncy, high energy journey through electro and club sounds with a sparkle of nostalgia. Raw rhythms and some cheeky attitude blending underground with bold dance floor ready tracks.”

Notes on the Mix ///
“I’ve always loved what Kira, Panooc, and the entire XOXA crew do. Between their event series, mixes, and generally just being amazing people all around, it’s an honor to contribute a mix to their series. I recorded this one in the Bad Room at Good Room, so I tried to bring a little bit of that energy into this one.”

XOXAgency Spotlight: Mx. Blaire 🌀🌀

A dazzling selectress, an embodiment of skill and craft, and a passionate community builder, Mx. Blaire (she/they) has a singular ability to enchant dancers with stirring, sometimes otherworldly sounds. Her reverence for 90s house, hard-hitting techno, and mind-bending acid guarantees an active dance floor, kept enthralled by intentionally placed breaks and thrilling interplays of tempos and textures. As a result of their dedicated vinyl practice, Blaire’s sets are also technically engaging, with brilliant phrasing and thoughtful touches of turntablism. She uses these skills to transfer her energy to the dancers and share in sonic conversations, exploring concurrent themes of resistance & joy and existence & play.

In addition to sharing their gifts through DJ sets, Blaire betters Boston’s underground through their organizing, for the q***r dance music collective Bo***ir and their new series Sheer Bliss. It’s hard to find parties frequented by a stronger community and filled with as much uninhibited delight. Furthering her commitment to community care, Blaire has created her spirit-comforting Sunday ambient and downtempo party called Sweetie Pie.

Blaire has caught the attention of formidable East Coast and Midwest organizers, and they have played such clubs as Good Room, Basement, smartbar, and Marble Bar. In fall 2024, she went on the road with Eris Drew and Octo Octa for their LUV NRG Soundsystem tour—a perfect fit, as Blaire exhibits the deftness and rave-rousing multidimensionality the pair is famous for and that will keep her captivating dancers for many years to come.

Buckle up for one last ride in 2025 with London/Berlin based .nightbus - born from a big transition in their life it’s the perfect ease between past, present & future.

The Nightbus (they/them)

Currently based between London and Berlin, The Nightbus is a writer, performer and music obsessive, playing percussive and bassy moments that soften even the most hardened techno aurophiles. Inspired by the sin of nightlife, and the concept of THROWING A$$, their sets are soundtracks to f*ck and bounce to, pulling in samples from Sufism, early 2000s RnB, TikTok commentary, anything that unites under the common term Mother Beat.

They are also a complete gobsh*te (look it up) and vers top (don’t look it up).

Notes on the Mix ///
“I put this mix together in between moving countries, doing some major drag and DJ gigs, getting sick THREE GODDAMN TIMES, and moving so close to 40, it has 2 fingers in, but not quite the whole fist yet! I wanted to make a mix to capture this M***A of a year, a mix I can air gun to. 140 is my happy place but it has to be sexy, so one can indeed throw and show ASS.

2025 was a year about belonging. Not just because of moving but because the far right feels mobilised and emboldened enough to tell us we’re not from here, and our kind don’t belong in the light. I still haven’t wrapped my head around it but as the year ends, it feels good to channel that anger into something I love. The opening track is my edit of a track by A. R. Rahman, one of the most prolific composers of south Asian descent. I heard this in 1992 for the first time and I hear my history in it, riding in my mum’s car, riding through New Labour Britain, riding to present day. It’s a promise to myself to represent so hard, the c£nts won’t be able to stomach it.

DJ girlcrush (she/her)

DJ girlcrush is a multi-genre dance music selector known for dynamic, high-energy sets that move fluidly across house, techno, trance, and hyperpop. A lifelong music archaeologist—from the early days of Tumblr blogs to sunrise dancefloors—she brings a sense of curiosity, discovery, nostalgia, and emotional connection to every set. Rooted in femme and q***r nightlife, she is committed to building community through music. She is a resident at the uptempo arcade party Tackycardia and a member of the emerging DJ trio S*x Over Thirty. She hosts Swallowed Open Decks, a monthly FLINTA*-focused, whale-themed event that holds space for emerging DJs to connect and grow and Rat Girl Club, a femme forward dance night.

Notes on the Mix ///

“This mix is about transformation on the dancefloor. After two weeks in Montevideo, I’d had two incredible nights at a little basement vinyl club that completely dazzled me. I was so quickly at home in a place so far away from home. Inspired by those nights, it feels especially fitting to have this mix drop on Xmas Eve—an ode to q***r found family, dancefloor angels, and a reminder that they can be found in the most unexpected and delightful places. That they will hold your hand and bring you on their journey, and you will bring them on yours. That you’ll watch out for each other through it all–the grief, pain, sadness, and joy. It weaves through genres: indie dance & electro, trance & acid, house & techno. Why stick to one path when you can dance among them all.”

Chloe Battelle (She / Her / Hers)

Brooklyn-based Producer and DJ Chloe Battelle shapes a sound that merges the raw purity of techno with a cinematic sense of melody and storytelling. Drawing from 90s acid, breakbeat, , and early rave, her productions fuse rhythmic intensity with hypnotic detail, as showcased in her debut EP ‘Porcelain’ on EELF Records. Founded in the darker corners of New York’s underground, her sound balances minimal, textured industrial energy with melodic tension and evolving soundscapes. With over five years behind the decks, she has developed a language of contrast: music that feels equally built for the dancefloor and the quiet moments that follow. Performing across venues like Good Room, H0l0, and Bossa Nova Civic Club and championing femme-presenting inclusivity through her party series Toned, Chloe continues to find her voice within New York’s underground.

Notes on the Mix ///

“This mix is a hypnotic lesson in Dub Techno from around the world. Chloe has been obsessed with the rich, textured, and historical genre this year and has been practicing the complex layering of delay, echo, and pounding low end. The mix starts slow and thoughtful and arrives at an emotional high point with a little sprinkle of acid. Perfect for morning thoughts, meditation, afterhours, or intense focus. Dub is life.”
