Bar Sovereign may be but it's worth seeking out if you want someplace a little more laid back than Lower Broadway! At one time this little spot tucked away in SoBro was surrounded by tower cranes. Now it's in the shadows of high-rise hotels and apartment buildings. But it's still our kind of place - no menu, just tell them what you like and enjoy the results.

You asked for it… so here it is. Hawaii’s most popular dish is coming to you, one bowl at a time. For ONE NIGHT ONLY, at a very limited amount, Kapu Haole brings to you, Saimin.

On Tuesday September 7th, come by and order a bowl of the most comforting and hearty bowl of Saimin. A 24-hour Dashi Broth composed of Anchovies, Shiitake Mushrooms, Ginger, Galangal, Hawaiian Salt and Konbu. In a bowl with rich Wheat Flour/Egg Noodles. Topped with Spam, Kamaboko, a Shoyu Egg and Green Onions.

This classic dish is nostalgia in a bowl. A piece of childhood that will never be replaced. Sitting at the table, family conversations full of laughter and joy. This dish represents the connection of different cultures. Just like this bowl, we are a melting pot of different views and backgrounds. We just wanted to showcase something you may be accustomed to, from another perspective.
