To clear things up- there's been talk of Meal Ticket staying afloat...but that was before we got a notice to cease all operations on our door from the Fire Marshall himself. Our landlord is not resigning the lease with us for the New Year. I'm sorry people, but the space is no longer ours to love. Do not fret-there is also a meeting in the works between DIY leaders/promoters to find a new space/solution to this upsetting occurrence! People are joining forces. It's not just our city that is going through these shut-downs and you know It's spelled DIY and not DIE for a reason ;) Good luck with your trip down the river people, it's been very real. 🍏🎶👼🏽💙

We want to give a big thank you to everyone who contributed to our GoFundMe and to those who have donated your time, money, or equipment to keep Meal Ticket alive and thriving. We are incredibly inspired and grateful for all of the feedback and positive response that we have received from the community following the break-in, and for those who have reached out offering to help in our efforts.

Update:
Of the $935 donated, $700 will be allocated towards replacing the rented sub-woofer that was stolen and the remaining funds will be used towards replacing two of our stage monitors.

An anonymous donor dropped off two 15'' PA speakers for us to use shortly after we made a post about the break-in, and a third was just dropped off yesterday.
