What a treat to have so many Prairie Shufflers at our club last night. Traffic was a bear on I-82, yet they fought through it and joined us. Our thanks for so many coming, even when it wasn't for a caravan.

Back in the 1960s through 1980s, there were large groups of pr***en and teen square dancers. These are photos from a couple of clubs in Western Washington that I belonged to as I grew up. It was a skill that developed coordination, memory, cooperation, and was a great exercise. Young people, and their parents, weren't connected to computers like they are now. They wanted to keep active. Even though times have changed, it still has a lot to offer. There are homeschoolers that consider it their P.E. credits. Also, it's an activity that can last for a lifetime. I'm in both of these photos and am still active in dancing. Come give it a try......perhaps even as a family. Lessons start on Monday October 5th, from 7:00 to 8:30 at the Moxee Dance and Event Center. Lessons are for families, singles, and married folks. I think that covers everybody!

Brett has been in the square dance world for many years and you are sure to enjoy his calling. We are also looking forward to having Katie Marteny as our cuer. She is a younger up-and-coming cuer who is becoming very well known in the Pacific Northwest. It's a pleasure to have her joining us here in Central Washington. We hope YOU can join us too!

This video is fun in that it features square dancing, round dancing, line dancing, and clogging all being done simultaneously. Lessons start this fall for all of those, except clogging, this fall.
