These pictures were sent to us by fan and follower, Christian Michelson. He said his uncle worked on Monsters Cereal, and I'm assuming that's him in the pictures on set with a little actress about to shoot a commercial. He also included the 2 illustrations of the monsters I'd never seen before. Thanks for sharing, Christian!

So my partner here on the fan page designed the big head boxes of the monster cereals that were on the cereal boxes in the early 2000s. He did Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry as that was all General Mills manufactured but every time we’d go to Minneapolis and meet with our clients at General Mills we’d see a box of Fruit Brute designed to look like it fit in with the rest of the line on a bookshelf near a conference room.

We had no idea who designed it, or why because they kept telling us they had no plans to manufacture Fruit Brute again. After a few years I just forgot about it.

I recently came across an image of that box on-line and was thrilled to see it again and it was credited to an art director by the name of Steve Wahlin. Nice work, Steve. Wish it had come to ‘fruition’. See what I did there?
