Dear Friends,
It is with deep emotions we are letting you know that The Lounge / Rouge at The Lounge is permanently closed. We had hoped to celebrate our 25th Anniversary this Fall, but Covid19 had other plans for us. There is simply no realistic way to responsibly implement social distancing when our business is entirely dependent on social interaction. We are, quite literally, the opposite of a social distancing experience. We are a business that generates all of our sales on weekends and there is no way for us to make up for months and months of lost weekends. We are further concerned that the State has indicated a willingness to "turn back the dials" if a second round of Covid19 comes again in the Fall or Winter. That is an uncertainty we simply can not plan around. It has been our pleasure to serve you over the years and we hope we've given you memories to last a lifetime. From our legendary Halloween and New Years Eve parties, to headliner DJ shows, to Prince occasionally dropping by to sit in his booth, to being a welcome place to people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, orientations, interests, and personal beliefs. We always believed the best parties are the ones that have a little bit of every kind of person. To our hundreds of staff members over the years, we sincerely Thank You. To our wonderful customers, both old and new, we say Thank You. To every thing there is a season, and we know that better seasons are ahead for you all. It has been our absolute pleasure to provide you a place to let your cares go, at least for a little while, for all these years. We will never forget the time we shared together under the disco balls.
