The dark electro band Placebo Effect, founded in 1989 by Achim Windel, Axel Machens and Christoph Kunze, had their first phase closed in 1999. In recent years, the group has returned with live performances, reaffirming its importance on the scene.
Influenced by names such as Skinny Puppy, Front 242, Cabaret Voltaire, Depeche Mode, Fad Gadget, Gary Numan, Joy Division and The Cure, the Placebo Effect has developed a musical identity of its own. While they dialogue with the dark Canadian electro from bands like Numb and Front Line Assembly, they stand out for their unique cinematic atmospheres and melodic structures, often inspired by horror films.
ECHOBERYL ( France )
Darkwave/synth duo from Paris formed by Adriano (composition, guitar, synth) and Cecilia (vocals, lyrics). Together, they're intense storytellers, using dark, pulsating music as their main language.
In recent years, Echoberyl has conquered a unique space in the dark scene, with strong personality tracks, dense sounds and melancholic melodies. Her songs are inhabited by fascinating, dark, multifaceted female characters, reflecting on the present and the paths of our destiny.
SCARLET LEAVES (Brasil)
Brazilian darkwave, ethereal and shoegaze band, Scarlet Leaves returns to Madame's stages after five years. With two albums released on Wave Records, the band will perform their key tracks and new sounds live.
