If you missed any of the fun this weekend at Live! go cry to your mama, because we were having too much fun to miss you! And if you want in on future fun, put your inhibitions and pre-conceived misgivings in the trunk and just show up!
A great big shout out goes to our good friend Jonathan Harris and THE SCENE LA. for a killer line up Friday night with Dead Machine Theory and Motoriot. Motoriot as usual lit up the place and got the rocking started for the follow up by Dead Machine Theory. If you get a chance to see either of these bands, do it, it will be money well spent!
Saturday night saw the debut of the Barataria Live! / ALT 92.3 fm ALT nights. A great big THANK YOU goes out to Mr. Tom Philips of 92.3 for putting it all together and the hostess with the mostest, the incomparable Ashley O. We would be remiss for leaving out the 'new' Chris Kaos who documented the evening with pictures and videos. Robert from Glazer Distibutors provided the awesome Smirnoff shots served by the lovely Smirnoff girls. Congratulations to all of our prize winners and the 4 lucky winners of the Voodoo Fest passes.
The highlight of the night was the exact reason we do what we do, the bands. People, get out and support local original music because you just never know where the next big thing is coming from and you can say you were part of it!
Kicking the night off in grand fashion was energetic, Green Gasoline and their high voltage rock, followed up with the always electric The Other LA and capping the night off with their heavy metal assault, RESURFACE.
The biggest THANK YOU of all goes out to those who came out to support the bands, the station and the club. Without all of you, what we do would be for naught, so pat yourselves on the back for a job well done and we look forward to seeing all of you again soon!
