Thank you everyone for the overwhelming support these last few weeks! The last 19 years will forever be nothing but great memories that will live on for Boogaloo. I would especially like to thak the Boogaloo Crew, there have been so many great people to work here through thick and thin - from grand openings to these final days we’ve been through power outages, floods, water main breaks, fires, breaking ins and even a global pandemic. Some employees came and went but cheers to the die-hard ones that stayed through the shut down and all the tough times; you have no idea what the Boogaloo Family, (literally family, my sister Erin and sister-in-law Desiree bailed me out more times than I can count) has meant to me from 2005 through 2024.

You have no idea the impact you have had here! From the man that raised me, to the the one who watched and supported me as I fell into the craft I loved. You took me from a line cook to meeting talented chefs like Mike Johnson, Eric Erhard, Cary McDowell and Matt Besler. At the same time you introduced me to great business minds and restaurateurs like Charlie and Carol Downs, Joe and Jimmy O’Brien, Dan Kopman and Tom Schlafly and Susan Haberer. You Sir, made Me what I am today and kept Boogaloo alive through this journey.

We have seen our ups and downs through the years. But the last few weeks I have seen a self made millionaire do everything in a restaurant including the not so fun stuff like bus tables, wash dishes,and mop floors just to help me to my next step in life. I appreciate you more than you know for helping me through the hardest time in my life. During my journey here, you have had a couple serious health scares but you never let me down and always still showed up; even on days when I didn’t want you to. I know this pivot in life is far easier than the thought of going through life without you. So cheers to US - Boogaloo would not have been possible without you; let’s enjoy our retirement together now! You are the best, Dad!

Thank you St. Louis for the overwhelming support! Today, Saturday June 8th, we will be opening at 2pm and we will not be open for Sunday Brunch. 🚨 *** We will require reservations through dinner service today *** 🚨

Since our closing announcement we have received a lot of attention and visitors to the restaurant. ❤️ We appreciate the love and support; however, as we prepare for our final days we are short on menu items and are struggling to keep up with the demand to give everyone one last taste of Boogaloo. ✊We will continue to do our best to serve you all, but please be patient with us and understand that our front of house and kitchen staff are working VERY hard with what is available to provide you with best service we can. To be transparent, our menu and seating may be limited if you come to say goodbye.

It’s with a heavy heart to announce the closing of Boogaloo on June 15th. We intend to be open our standard hours this week and Wednesday - Saturday next week from 4-Close. Saturday June 15th will be our final day open. Come up and show the staff your support and wish everyone well on our future endeavors.

I’d like to thank the Maplewood community, Mid-County Chamber of Commerce and the Dozens of Employees that have worked here over the years that have made Boogaloo a family.

We have been a staple in St. Louis for 19 years as the “bar with the swings”. Share your favorite memories of your time at Boogaloo. Swing On By one last time to celebrate the years of memories we’ve had as we reflect in our final days.

It’s been a swinging good time; farewell to all. ✊
