The purpose of this organization is to further the principles of democracy to promote the civic educational and political progress of the greek american citizens of the state of new hampshire to aquaint the with the history and constitution of the united states induce or greek countrymen to become naturalized and to represent the greeks before the public.
On july 28, 1940 in the city of manchester county of hillsborough and state of new hampshire a group of american citizens of greek descent assembled in a house at 914 cedar street and duly organized a club in accordance to the laws of new hampshire. This club was called the pericles democratic club of new hampshire. The purpose of this club is described in article 2 of the constitution. This club was recorded september 5 1940 in the records of corporation in said city in vol. 7 page 89. it was also recorded in the records of voluntary corporation added to the constitution in the following dates: january 26 1941-april 2 1941 -december 27 1942- june 26 1944 -june 30 1944 -october 21 1944 – december 21 1945 – december 30 1945 -january 26 1947 -september 22 1948.
at a special meeting of the members a committee was selected for the purpose of revising the constitution. The committee elected was as follows:

stefanos demos- secretary
markos papachristos
thokedides tsiaparas
james demos
theodore viloras
the electedc committee held it first meeting in the club house 75 spruce street september 27 1948 and continued with three meetings a week until the revised constitution was completed. When done the president called the members for a meeting on october 24 1948 to obtain their approval or otherwise. Due to lack of time a second meeting was called on october 29 1948.
business not completed at the second meeting a third was called on november 3 1948. at this meeting the revised constitution was brought before the members article by article the members voted on unanimously went int oeffect as of november 1948.

this organization shall be known as the pericles democratic club of new hampshire with headquartes in manchester new hampshire.

the purpose of this organization is to further the principles of democracy, to promote the edcucational and political progress of the greek american citizens of the state of new hampshire, to aquaint them with the history and constitution of the united states, induce our greek countryme to become naturalized ant to represent the greeks before the public.
