When these seasonal files were first entered into the record, one can never be entirely certain how they will be received.

🌹The Strawberry Rose Cosmo.
🍊The Summer Scandal.
🥒The Cucumber Confidential.
🍌The Banana Dossier.
🌶The Ember File.

Each was created with care, tested thoroughly, and ultimately approved for release by The House.

Since their introduction, guests have offered kind words, thoughtful feedback, and enthusiastic support. Madam has been pleased to observe many of these entries finding favor among both familiar faces and first-time visitors alike.

For that, The House extends its sincere thanks.

It is a privilege to create, experiment, and share these offerings with such a wonderful community.

The lamp remains lit. The Keeper remains at his post. And Madam is already considering what future entries may yet find their way into the record.

While Madam makes no promises regarding future attachments, she suspects this newcomer may attract a fair amount of attention during the season.

📜 A Note Regarding Beer🍺

While much attention is often given to the bottles occupying the bourbon shelves, The Keeper has not forgotten those who prefer their refreshments brewed rather than barreled.

The concern has been noted.😉

In response to recent inquiries, a new porter has been accepted into the record: Busted Knuckle from Quaff ON! Brewing Co.

It joins a growing collection of local favorites, familiar classics, and a few selections chosen simply because they deserved a place in The House.

One would argue that any of these selections pair quite nicely with our house-made pimento cheese dip or The Keeper's Trio.

The House believes in proper hospitality, regardless of what happens to be in the glass.

📜 A Matter of New Arrivals – Aged 12 and 15 Years

Two new, and quite impressive, expressions from WhistlePig arrived this afternoon.

One spent twelve years gathering evidence before being finished in three European wine casks—Madeira, Sauternes, and Port—resulting in notes of dried fruit, honey, baking spice, and dark chocolate.

The other spent fifteen years developing its case. One of WhistlePig's oldest rye whiskeys, it completes its long maturation in Vermont Estate Oak, revealing layers of caramel, vanilla, leather, oak spice, and a remarkably long finish.

Both highly sought after. Both have been accepted into the record.

The Keeper suggests becoming acquainted with such company sooner rather than later.

From time to time, guests inquire whether The House may be reserved for gatherings of a more private nature.

After careful consideration, the answer is yes!

🎉 From birthdays and retirements to bridal showers, business gatherings, holiday parties, and other special occasions, Ledger & Proof is pleased to welcome private events on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.

🎄 A brief note for those responsible for planning the company holiday party: Madam has already begun receiving inquiries regarding December dates. Early correspondence is encouraged!

🥃 Private rentals include exclusive use of the venue and access to our full beverage program. The Keeper would also be pleased to create up to two custom cocktails tailored specifically to your event and, where appropriate, print company logos, event names, or other custom artwork directly onto the cocktails.

A few particulars:

📌 A non-refundable reservation retainer of $175 is required to secure your date

👥 Maximum occupancy of 38 guests

🔞 21 and over only

🍽️ Outside food welcome

🚫🥤 No outside beverages permitted

🥤 Complimentary Coca-Cola products and self-service water station

The classics are the pillars upon which modern cocktails stand. They provide the foundation, the technique, and the inspiration for what comes next.

Not every file that crosses Madam's desk is a scandal...

Some are simply refreshing.

Vodka, fresh cucumber juice, lemon, simple syrup, and a velvety foam cap, come together in a cocktail that is crisp, bright, and exceptionally well-behaved.

The Clover Club is a pre-Prohibition classic, first enjoyed by journalists, lawyers, and businessmen who were members of a Philadelphia gentlemen's club more than a century ago.

Gin, raspberry, lemon, and egg white come together to create a cocktail that is bright, silky, and timeless.

Some drinks become popular for a season.

Others refuse to go out of style.

The Clover Club belongs firmly in the latter category.
