The Dame

09/03/2026

Our hearts are breaking tonight as we say goodbye to another member of The Dame's family. Danny made people laugh at our door long before he made people laugh on stages across the country. We love you, Danny - N.S.

I ran across this randomly while looking for something else and thought I'd share it so it isn't lost to time. It's a tour diary post by Chip Taylor (RIP....he wrote Wild Thing and Angel of the Morning) who played at The Dame in 2006 with Carrie Rodriguez. I'd booked them previously at High On Rose in 2003 so this was a return trip to Lexington for them but this time Mayor Isaac gave them the key to the city! - N.S.

UPDATE: REACHED OUR GOAL! Thank you so much to everyone who shared and donated. A statement will be released tomorrow. We are so grateful for the support of this community. So much love. Thank you! -Bruce & The End

SAVE THE END!
The economic slowdown of 2025 has resulted in The End having the worst year in 27 years which in turn has caused The End to fall behind on rent for the 1st time in 27 years. In order to keep the landlord from terminating the lease & forcing The End to close, owner Bruce Fitzpatrick has reluctantly decided to start a GoFundMe to save The End. Please donate whatever you can. We love our patrons & thank you for your support 🖤
Long live the rock block 🤘🏻
