Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed
Binder: U.S. Connecticut Corojo H99 Hybrid
Filler: Dominican Havana Vuelta Abajo (HVA) and Criollo '98
Body/Strength: Medium-plus profile with medium strength.

Great cigar! A must try.

Supermarket Sushi

Ecuador grows much of the Habano and Sumatra wrapper used throughout the cigar industry.
One year, a grower crossed the two seeds and dedicated a small section of farmland to the experiment. The result was a distinctive wrapper, but there was not enough of it to build a perma-nent brand, and most manutacturers passed. The to***co eventually reached a manufacturer we worked with, and they thought of us. We purchased the wrapper at a great price, paired it with a Dominican Cibao binder and fillers from Peru and Estelí, then aged the finished ci**rs for two years. Because we saved on the most expen-sive part of the cigar, we decided to pass that value directly to LCA consumers. Think of it like unexpectedly great supermarket sushi: exception-al, surprising and priced far better than it should be. Consider it our thank-you, and a journey most cigar smokers will only take once. This wrapper was experimental, limited and will likely never be grown again.
