Last night was truly one of those moments that reminds you why relationships matter.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the J.W. Sexton High School Class of 2006 for choosing to celebrate your 20-Year Class Reunion at The Comfort Zone Cigar Lounge & Bistro.
Out of all the wonderful venues in Lansing, you chose ours, and that means more to me than I can adequately express. Thank you for trusting us to be part of such a meaningful milestone in your lives.
This reunion was especially personal for me because I had the privilege of serving as your Assistant Principal. I wasn’t just fortunate enough to watch you grow as students—I had the opportunity to learn from you, encourage you, challenge you, and celebrate your accomplishments. Seeing so many familiar faces after 20 years brought back countless memories and reminded me why education has always been about people, not just classrooms.
Thank you for remembering me, for allowing me to reconnect with so many of you, and for filling The Comfort Zone with laughter, love, and memories. Watching classmates embrace, reminisce, and celebrate life’s journey together was truly a blessing.
I am incredibly proud of each of you and grateful that our paths crossed years ago—and crossed again last night.
May God continue to bless each of you with health, happiness, purpose, and success. Continue to be a light in your families, your communities, and wherever life leads you.
From the bottom of my heart…thank you for making last night one I’ll never forget.
With sincere appreciation,
Mr. Lonzo
