A free to attend* social crafting club! Feel free to bring a craft you’ve been working on, or that one you haven’t started yet, or find something at the cafe to craft. If you’ve got extra supplies at home, bring them along to share :)

It’s a painting party! For miniatures! Evan dumps all her paints and brushes out on the tables, you grab a mini, and go nuts. Light instruction is provided in the form of “do this first, then this, and use these last, or don’t this is just fun”. A ticket gets you access to the tools and one miniature from the stash. If you bring your own minis to paint you still get to leave with a new one! Walk-ins are welcome.

Location: The Midnight Oil, 44 N Christian St.
Date: Wednesday, December 10th
Time: 5:00pm to 10:00pm (we start cleaning up the paints & stuff)
This is For: People who want to play and experiment with many different miniature paints and tools, of all ages, of all skill levels.

Join us once again for the Farbo Co annual Gingerbread Dungeon making!! Like gingerbread houses, but DUNGEONS. Make a mimic, a baba yaga house, a.... church with eyes, I think? Or any dungeon layout you can think of! All materials will be provided for you, no need to bring anything unless you want to have extra candy to decorate with.

This is FREE to attend, just like every year, but space is limited so please RSVP if you will be attending!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Come join us to ring in the new year! Same as last year, table fees will be waived and sparkling cider will be served. We want to go as sparkly as possible this year, so come dressed in your glitteriest, most sparkling outfit.We will be watching the NYC ball drop at midnight and otherwise listening to party music and kissing our friends :)

First come first serve on seats, we won’t be able to take rezzies for the party!

Anti-Consumerism Folk Punk Show (11/28)

Join us in not participating in black friday this year by coming to a folk punk show at the cafe!!

We’ll have Churches and Trains, theconversekid, and Help Wanted playing to raise money for Mouse (of Help Wanted) and Sofi to get a place to live. We won’t turn anyone away at the door to watch the show, but a suggested donation of $10 bucks is appreciated. ALL money goes to the talent!

Hey ho everybody!! We’re welcoming our brand new community fridge! In here we have meals cooked in a commercial kitchen by Toby and friends. We pay for the ingredients for these meals so that we can offer them for free to those who need it the most and otherwise would not have access to a healthy hot meal.

Since this is funded by us entirely, we will be accepting donations but this is absolutely a project we are ready to take on as a crew!

We will be able to take food donations as well! We can take whole food perishables such as veggies, fruits, eggs and the like. We can also take UNEXPIRED and UNOPENED pantry foods! Please do not bring home cooked meals, as delicious as i’m sure they are, we take food safety very seriously. We love you!

Come join us to celebrate our favorite lil Apollo’s b-day and paint/customize your own My Little Pony toy! We have ALL materials here for you, so no need to bring your own unless you want to. Kirby Air Riders Release Day Party (11/22)

Power-Up your summer with Nintendo Switch 2’s Kirby Air Riders Release Day Party! Race down the Waveflow Waters to The Midnight Oil for a starlit journey November 22nd 6pm - 11pm celebrating the newest installment of the Kirby Franchise!

Between testing out the new game, we’ll be sipping on Kirby themed beverages, showcasing our gaming knowledge in trivia, collecting street pass tags for our 3DS Miis, and playing other Nintendo favorites!

Cosplay is, as always, encouraged!

*ATTENTION 3DS and 2DS OWNERS: Don’t forget to bring your devices for Streetpass Tags!*

Are we only playing Kirby Air Riders?
We’re also bringing a lot of other Nintendo games including our usual Mario Karts and Mario Parties!

Do I need to cosplay?
Though many attendees cosplay on theme, others choose to wear fun shirts / accessories, some cosplay from other fandoms, and some spontaneously join us day off wearing normal clothes. So no matter what you wear, you’ll fit in.
