We Have 10 Days to Save Our Little Corner of the Community

If you've ever walked through our doors, you already know this isn't just a place to grab a drink.

It's a place where somebody knows your name.

Where you can come alone and somehow end up sitting with friends.

Where parents don't have to choose between spending time with their kids and having a social life. Where people who don't drink alcohol can still experience nightlife, music, trivia, games, laughter, and community without feeling like the odd one out.

It's a place where you can simply belong.

And now, we have 10 days to fight for it.

We have been given an opportunity to take what we've already built and turn it into something completely our own: The Rooted Raven.

The Rooted Raven is our vision for an independent, locally owned, alcohol-free social space in Lakeland built around community, connection, creativity, and a little bit of beautiful weirdness.

Think cozy old library meets Edgar Allan Poe—with plants, books, ravens, games, local art, music, events, specialty botanical drinks, kava, delicious alcohol-free creations, and plenty of personality.

But underneath all of that is something much more important:

People.

We want to preserve a place where someone choosing sobriety can still go out on a Friday night.

Where a mom or dad can bring their kids, grab a drink, play a board game, listen to music and actually feel like they got to go somewhere too.

Where someone having a terrible day can walk through the door and find a familiar face.

Where friendships begin over a game of Uno.

Where local artists, musicians, small businesses and creators have somewhere to be seen.

Where being a little different isn't something you have to tone down.

It's celebrated.

And then there's our little Raven family.

These humans are a huge part of why this place feels the way it does.

Mini is our social media goddess—the creative eye behind the scenes who notices the tiny details everyone else misses. She's thoughtful, talented, and somehow always thinking three steps ahead about how to make what we're doing even better.
