Southside Family - It is with great regret and profound sadness that I inform you all that the beloved owner, Frederick Potts, has passed away yesterday evening after putting up a strong fight in the ICU over the last several weeks. Southside Saloon will be closed for the time being due to family bereavement.

To know Fred was to love Fred and I am certain that he was loved by more than I could ever count. As you will understand this is a difficult time for the family and so many in the community as we all come to terms with our loss.

Funeral arrangements are in progress and we will be sure to inform you when they are completed. We appreciate your continued support and understanding during this difficult time.

For the best interest of our great customers, we will be closed today, August 30, to complete some repairs and cleaning of equipment. Lots of great things to come though so stay tuned and thank you to all of our fine folks!! And our best wishes for all our south Louisiana folks!
