Ok...last one from last night’s ...for now....and then I need to start cleaning! 😖

P.S. Keary built this entire set from dense foam, carved out the stone, texturized it, AND painted it before cutting it and piecing together 😳🤩❤️

Last night’s Halloween show was incredibly fun and, to be honest, I’m still buzzing off the high of all the hard work that proved to pay off. I don’t completely understand why we are the way we are...why we always try to do more...why we always try to make each show better than the last show...why we’re constantly trying to outdo ourselves.

Sometimes it feels like there’s just too much on the plate and like “crap, how are we gonna get all this done in time?!” The decorations alone took 4 days to finish...and why? It’s only a 90 minute show? But we can’t help it. I don’t think it’d matter if it was a 5 minute show...we’d still be this ambitious and crazy.

I’ve always been a perfectionist who has bitten off more than I can chew, but it’s on a whole new level these last 3 years of doing Laugh Lounge and I think it’s because of my husband (who is the epitome of giving people an experience they won’t forget). We truly try to offer something that’s unique and unlike anything else you’d find in Jacksonville.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little jealous of the audience members...they get to be the consumer...the ones to have the experience. Although I truly enjoy being a part of the reason they’re smiling and having a great time, I wish that I could experience that same feeling.

Even still, there’s great joy in the work. Being able to work hard on something and watch it all come together is deeply satisfying. Indescribable. The process of creation is a drug I’ll never stop being addicted to.

I haven’t even started cleaning up from this show and I’m already thinking about the holidays and what kinda blowout we’ll be doing for Christmas.

So in short, last night was amazingly wonderful and I’m grateful to all who came out, but I’m also thinking “okay, what’s next?” I love you all and I will forever be indebted to those of you who have allowed me to do what I love. I think I have the best job in the world because it never really feels like a job when you’re doing what you are absolutely crazy about! Thank you and until next time!!! ❤️

Who We Are!

Laugh Lounge was created by people who love comedy FOR people who love comedy! We are a small group consisting of two professional comedians, an awesome producer, a fantastic venue, and a very generous sponsor who all understand that when people go out to a comedy show they not only expect to laugh, but they DESERVE hilarious, gut-busting, laugh-a-minute sets from each and every every performer! It's the way comedy should be! All of Laugh Lounge's performers go through a strict vetting process before they're booked for our shows so audiences are only getting the very best! Quality will always outweigh quantity in our books! If you're looking for a fun and memorable night of comedy, cocktails, and a great crowd all under one roof, look no further than Laugh Lounge!
