Has it really been two weeks since POP’d at The Cherry?

We’re still riding high from the good vibes, great music, and all the love that each and every one of you brought to the dance floor.

Big thanks to our DJs, performers, go-go dancers, UV artists, security, tech and lighting crew, bartenders, Babe’s Burgers, volunteers, and the good folks at The Cherry.

To witness joy, community, and all your gorgeous selves showing up on behalf of a safety-focused event means the world to us. We couldn’t do it without you and can’t wait to do it again... eventually!

In the meantime, take POP’d with you everywhere you go. Create inclusive spaces. Keep each other safe. And, dance your t**s off!

Advance tickets were sold out by late afternoon yesterday. But, not to fear, we set aside tickets to sell at the door for you last-minute folks!

Also, we’ll have a one-out, one-in policy as people exit early to relieve babysitters, rest their bodies, or venture off to other fabulous destinations.

After 11:30pm, there will be a reduced cover, and we will let people in based on capacity.

By the way… WE’RE SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU ALL TONIGHT!!!!

Ithaca’s super-inclusive, consent-oriented, pop-up nightclub experience is tomorrow!

Advance ticket sales end tonight!
You can get $25 tickets at the door tomorrow.

The doors will open promptly at 9pm. Have your ticket info ready.
21+ will be ID’d at the bar

DJs Dondada, The Dutchess, and Logs will be dropping the beats to keep the vibes moving all night. Gogo dancers will inspire with their moves. Performers will season the night with their artistry. And all of YOU will bring the love, joy, and community spirit to the dance floor.

This is an appreciation post for Jonny, one of the co-creators of POP’d. He takes care of organizing security, building out the space, and bringing all the sweet, sweet love to all of you. While he’s injured right now, he’ll still be presiding over the dance floor as head of SHHHKURRRITY, projecting good vibes and big daddy energy.

MC SPOTLIGHT ON: THE MIGHTY MICKIE QUINN

Emcee and co-creator of POP’d, The Mighty Mickie Quinn is a visionary event producer who conjures connections between artists and the audience. She is the mistress of ceremonies for a variety of performance events, including Trampoline storytelling, Wh***ey Tango Sideshow burlesque, GrassRoots music festival, and any variety of stages that need a touch of class with a side of sass. She loves to lift spirits while celebrating her community.

Mighty Mickie is also responsible for creating all the graphics and branding for POP’d. No AI needed here- just good old-fashioned Photoshop and Illustrator.

Spirit Posse turns it up and turns it out with the high-octane energy that makes everybody hit the dance floor in droves.

Focused on keeping the dancing floor ablaze, Dondada is setting the bar for nightlife DJs. Drawing inspiration from diverse cultures across genres, she is bringing the sounds of the Global South to the floor.

The Dutchess is Ithaca DJ royalty - bringing the most bodacious beats to move all the booties to the dance floor, including her own!

This Posse will be on fire at POP'd at The Cherry on Saturday, August 22nd.

There is no re-entry. Come in and stay until you’re done. After 11:30, we will have a 1-out, 1-in $10 entry.

Travel safe: We encourage ride-share, GO ITHACA for local transportation options. On-site and street parking available.

Bring your ID: 18 to enter, 21 to drink (ID’d at bar)

Bring an empty water bottle to refill.

There will be food and beverages for purchase.

DJs have great sets planned and do not take requests - get into their groove and enjoy the ride!

Bring cash to tip performers!

UV face painting available for $10+.

Blacklights will be in use in some areas. There will be alternating lights, but no strobing and minimal flashing.

Get decked out, if that makes you happy, and “be the light” with UV-reactive, reflective, or light-up items (please no blinking or flashing lights).

FREE THE NI**LE: gender-based biases mean some ni***es are banned from being posted online. Until all ni***es are free, we ask that everyone wear pasties.

There will be an opportunity to strut your stuff on the catwalk. Otherwise, please mind the Catwalk Maven, who will manage who is dancing on the runway. The go-go platform is for go-go dancers only… for everyone’s safety!

Anyone who does NOT want to have their photo taken can take a yellow sticker to wear. Photographers will be conscious of where they direct their cameras. However, we cannot 100% guarantee that your image won’t appear in the background.

You are welcome to take selfies and photos of performers, but please NO FLASH! Tag

There will be exposed flesh! This is not an invitation for unsolicited touching of any kind. Always ask first to receive enthusiastic consent. Consent is sexy!
