1979 film "10" starring Dudley Moore, Julie Andrews, and Bo Derek. Baker is quoted saying, "This is not a campy spoof or remake of the film, but an original story that pays loving homage to film writer/director Blake Edwards by using narrative slapstick humor mixed with uncomfortable, poignant reality to tell a story that deals with themes such as mid-life crisis, ageism, male menopause, online voyeurism, sexual objectification, and relationships that affirm various family types. In classic Edwards' fashion of morphing genres, this play is "subconsciously" woven together with a diversity of songs written by Baker (mentored by composer Henry Mancini) and lyricist Peter Oprisko (mentored by famed song writer Sammy Cahn). Additional lyrics are provided by famous NY cabaret performer/composer George Winters. It's prudent to mention some of the cast which includes respected theatrical veterans and performers Robert Webster Jr., Peggy Chambers, Dan Flahive, and Nancy Moore. This show will be passionately directed by local esteemed performer Ed Trout who is excited about this new work which he says is, "Progressive in its use of mixed media and universal to audiences in its subject matter."
