We're So Excited!!!
..
We're STAYING OPEN ALL YEAR LONG!!!
It's so good to be true, it must be a dream!
And we're here to say, it's more than a dream!
It's a dream come true!
The groundhog, the weatherman, and the Farmer's Almanac are all predicting a 100% chance of many more weeks of Bear Creek this winter!!!
Did you squeal out loud a little?!?
It's okay, we did too!
And we're so, So, SO EXCITED to share it with you!

So what does this mean?!?
It means that you don't have to miss us anymore.
You don't have to wonder what you'll do while we're closed.
And you get to keep enjoying the best organic produce all winter long!
As you may know, we've been slowly improving our farm market and shopping experience.
We paved the driveway.
We added more coolers.
We expanded our field production area.
We started working with more organic farmers.
And we've started carrying more good food essentials (local milk, eggs, meat, etc).
We've also grown our team!
And we've started freezing more farm-fresh soups and pestos and fruits!
And baking more yumminess!
And generally enhancing our offerings.
We've been doing all of this in direct response to the needs and requests of our customers.
We've been listening to you.
To what you say, and to what you do.
And one thing we know for certain, is that you want more.
More goodness.
More days.
More weeks.
More Bear Creek!
And now we know we're ready to go steady with you, too!
We've put all of the appropriate pieces in place.
We've paved the driveway, bought a snow plow, and have pallets of ice melt.
We've assembled the dream team, met with the other growers, and adjusted our planting schedules.
We've expanded our offerings, expanded our winter growing area, and extended our season.

We have SO much to look forward to, we can hardly wait!
While we're definitely, certainly, absolutely, positively not wishing summer away, we thought this would be some good news you would want to know!
We will be OPEN six days a week from now through December 21st.
We'll have modified schedules for the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
And we'll be closed the week of New Year's Eve for some deep cleaning, inventory, and a brief reprieve.
And then, on January 7th, we will be open FIVE DAYS A WEEK every Tuesday - Saturday forever more until we expand back to six days a week in the Spring!

And from the bottom of our hearts, we want to sincerely thank you for helping us get to this point.
This has been quite some journey we've been on together for all these years.
And in some ways, this is a return to our roots.
Albeit in a much bigger and better way.
Before there was an On-Farm Market to visit, we attended the Petoskey and Boyne City Farmers Markets 50 weeks a year. We pushed the limits of winter growing and selling and we were proud to be the only year-round grower and seller of fresh greens in the area.
When 2020 did its thing, we launched the market, needed a break in the deep winter, and adjusted our practices to suit the needs of our family, our employees, and our world at that time.
And now, with that temporary pivot turned permanent, and with almost five seasons of selling on the farm under our belt, we are excited to begin the next chapter of our farm's journey.
We always say that today is the best version of Bear Creek, and tomorrow will be just a little bit better. And with this news, we are excited to share how much all of those little things have added up to big things like this.
Our thanks to our customers and our team for making this all possible.
We never imagined a version of Bear Creek that looked like this, and we wouldn't change a thing.
We aren't sure what all the future holds, but we sure are blessed to be on this journey with all of you.
And for that, we are so very thankful.
