Ready Room has quietly stood as a historic, quaint-yet-iconic gem in The Heights for decades. With our live jazz, bespoke cocktails, and talented bar staff, we hope we brought our guests together for many a cozy, entertaining night on White Oak Drive.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our piano has played for the last time. Our patrons have supported us beautifully, and we are forever thankful for your generosity and business. This closing is just that- business. The Ready Room lease is contingent upon our neighboring restaurant’s lease, which has ran its course. Thusly, the historic Ready Room goes with it.

The White Oak boys kept Ready Room going for a full year and a half after it shuttered in 2023, and we are proud and thankful for the amazing energy, effort and skill applied by and his team. They say “what goes around comes around,” and we can’t wait to see their next creation. They truly deserve it.

One million thanks to our Houston friends. ‘Til we meet again. Cheers.

As many of you know, 2023 has brought many changes to White Oak, and some changes to our little cocktail and jazz bar as well. We love our guests and the talented musicians that call Ready Room their home. We will continue to grow and offer the best quality cocktails at very inviting prices, alongside great live music and free parking, all year long. As you know, live music isn’t cheap, and we respect our artists very much. To continue booking these great groups, and keep our standard, we considered a cover charge for live music hours. In lieu of that option, we will have a $30 minimum charge per seated guest for live music hours only, 9pm-12am Friday and Saturday. That’s around two cocktails or so per person, with no time limits at all. We hope that this is an understandable way to ensure the musicians are taken care of and the bartenders can continue creating amazing cocktails behind our historic bar. Cheers and thanks for all the support- we look forward to seeing you soon!!!
