I found this antique herb and vegetable chopper in rough condition, with several damaged and unusable parts that needed to be recreated from scratch. A brand-new cutting board was crafted from solid oak and treated with food-safe oil for a clean, durable finish. The blade mounting plate was completely remade, including a custom brass bushing to replace the destroyed original threads. The blade holder itself was carefully restored using laser welding to rebuild the missing threaded section. After that, the blade was restored, sharpened, and paired with a newly crafted wooden handle finished with a solid brass end cap. To complete the restoration, every metal component was nickel plated for long-lasting protection and a polished vintage look. Now this beautiful antique kitchen tool is fully functional once again and ready for many more years of service.
