What is Sugarleaf Social?
Sugarleaf Social is a café and social lounge in Genoa City, Wisconsin, about 10 minutes outside Lake Geneva, located on the farm (where the Southern Stop restaurant used to be, for those who remember).
The front half of the space will be the café serving locally roasted coffee, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and a small smoothie menu. We’re partnering with several local businesses and makers for many of our offerings so we can highlight great products from our community We also have a full time chocolatier on staff, so we’ll have both infused and uninfused chocolates, plus fun things like chocolate fondue. Since it’s Wisconsin we’ll of course have cheese fondue, dips, and other shareable small plates too. Coffee and drinks can be ordered traditional or infused depending on what people prefer.
The back half of the building will be the social and cocktail lounge. We do have a liquor license for traditional cocktails, but we’ll also lean heavily into creative mocktails and alternative options as well. Green Goddess beverages will be a big highlight. Our drink menu is going to be very intentional and culinary focused, with things like fresh pressed juices, a coffee flight, and even mini martini flights, all available infused or not. There will also be a small Sugarleaf shop inside the lounge area so guests can explore curated products while they’re there.
We’ll have a stage for live music and DJs, and themed events throughout the year. Think acoustic acts, steel guitar, or local DJs. We want it to be a place to connect, not a loud sports bar. There won’t be TVs playing games, gambling machines, jukeboxes, or bar stools lined up for drinking all night. The whole concept is about atmosphere, conversation, and trying something a little different.
Because we’re on the farm, we’ll also host outdoor artisan markets and seasonal events. We’re planning things like summer and fall festivals, local vendor markets, and some larger outdoor music events a couple times a year.
