I was never a big fan of Kyle Busch, but it seemed fitting to enjoy a delicious lunch at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen with a No. 8 special.

Friendly reminder that it’s nice to be nice. SMFFF are the most kindhearted people and the most sincere Smoky Mountain creators on the internet. They helped when hurricane Helene devastated the mountains they call home, and they’d give the shirt of their backs for anyone. Don’t make fun of them, or anybody for that matter. PERIOD

Working on yourself is a big step. You want to be healthy mentally and physically. Christy and I review food on our channel. Food is in the title of the channel.

We review food once a week. Sometimes twice. We do post a lot of restaurants on our social media. We repost a lot. Why? We have friends that we support in the industry and it’s what we do. They are grateful for our support and we are grateful for theirs.

The picture below is a recent one from Mothers Day. We are getting healthier. For us. We are doing it for us. We have been mostly quiet about it. Why? For one, it’s really no one else’s business. Not being mean about it. But we don’t “owe” anyone an explanation about our health. For another, we still have those out there who will make fun of us and claim we aren’t really doing it anyway. It is what it is.

The camera is a glimpse into our lives. It’s not a documentary. We are as real as we can be. You won’t get fake with us. We are who we are.

Mental health leads to better physical health. This is mental health awareness month and we are committed to making sure our mental health is good and we want yours to be too. No one should have to struggle inside their own mind. It’s a very lonely place.

Our creator community in this area is as strong as I can ever remember it being. We have so many friends in this community and we are all committed to helping each other and supporting each other. It’s a beautiful thing really.

Last night, a post was made on social media by a creator most of us know and it was filled with a very fat phobic and borderline racist tone. It was done very non chalant. Christy and I are Christians and we certainly aren’t perfect but this cut us both deeply and we are sure it bothered others as well.

Remember this: you don’t owe anyone anything. You are who you are and being yourself isn’t a flaw. You are loved and we are here for you. May is mental health awareness month but anytime you are struggling with something, we are here for you and we know our other friends in the creator community would be too. ❤️

Go to bed, TikTok. You’re drunk lol.
TikTok over here thinking I’m getting paid for an opinion on a candy bar is the craziest thing I’ve seen yet.
I have never ever been paid for any opinion on ANY product I’ve reviewed. Would it be cool to get paid to do this? Hell yeah it would, but that’ll never happen.

I don’t ask people for money, but a very close friend of 30 years lost his dad. His parents were a 2nd family to me, and meant the world to me. I’m not asking for help, I’m asking for a family to have peace of mind in laying a loved one to rest. https://www.osbornefuneralhome.net/obituaries/obituary-listings?obId=48050474&fbclid=IwVERDUARDePxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEevnU-4RmrhCdDgJPvi5dNxdUWiZTzN3TI9XCKadS0MNnY83G0z6EaSnz0bio_aem_Fx0dg4XmcUFz8x0ctdKfKQ

Had AI turn my dog into a bartender.
I think she’d make a spectacular espresso martini. What cocktail do you think she’d make the best?

That’s why I do what I do. I’m here to show that you can make yourself one drink, and just one drink, and enjoy it. You can enjoy alcohol without overconsuming.

Alcohol culture has a term for people who can drink massive amounts without showing it:

"Professional drinker."

Like it's a skill.
Like it's something to be proud of.

"I can drink anyone under the table."
"Alcohol goes down like water for me."
"I got paid to party."

I used to say all of that.

I used to brag about drinking 30-50 shots and still functioning.

Bartenders who drank with customers all night and couldn't remember a thing.

Lawyers who went home and drowned in Jack Daniels.

Liver transplant surgeons who installed new livers in patients...
Then went home and destroyed their own.

All of us?
"Professional drinkers."

But here's what nobody tells you:
Being good at drinking alcohol isn't a real thing.

In fact, the person who's BEST at drinking alcohol is the one who drinks little to none.

The people with the best tolerance are the ones who get buzzed from smelling liquor.

The people who can't fathom more than one or two drinks?
They're the ones who are actually good at it.

Because alcohol isn't meant to get you drunk.

That's what happens when you start overdosing on a neurotoxin.

Blackouts aren't supposed to happen.

That's not "the point."

That's what happens when you officially overdose on the drug.

So when you say you're a "professional drinker"...
What you're actually saying is:

"I've poisoned myself so consistently that my body adapted to survive higher doses."

That's not a flex.
That's a warning sign.

But millions of people identify this way.

Bartenders.
Lawyers.
Doctors.
Construction workers.
Sales reps.
CEOs.

People who take pride in their tolerance.

People who brag about their capacity.

People who built an identity around being able to handle it.

And I get it.

I was one of them.

I wore "professional drinker" like a badge of honor.

Until I realized:
The only thing I was professional at was slowly killing myself while looking functional.

So if you've ever called yourself a professional drinker...
If you've ever bragged about your tolerance...
If you've ever been proud of how much you can handle...

Ask yourself:
What are you actually proud of?

Because being good at poisoning yourself
Isn't the achievement you think it is.
