The right words cannot be found when you try to describe someone that you love and hold dear to your heart. It's difficult to convey what they mean to you and what decades of friendship feels like. You may not talk every week or sometimes every month but the second you see each other, time melts away and you are close friends like no time has passed between your last conversation over a beer. We always thought we'd look back on our tears and laugh but we never thought we'd look back on our laughter and cry.

Our Friends are those who keep us grounded, tell us the reality as it is and remain with us through our ups and downs. Having a friend that has been with you through thick and thin but now is separated from you.... either through distance, time or death, you realize such a loss is irreplaceable. Dealing with the emotion of losing friends is something no less than torture, especially a close friend that impacted your life. The bonds you shared, the things you all did together, the games your played, the drinks you laughed over, the secrets you shared... all that comes rushing back and leaves you weak.
You leave something behind when you die.
You left us millions of memories
You left thousands of acquaintances
You left hundreds of friends
You left a beautiful family
When people look back at the memories you left us...
When people see your daughter with your smile...
you're here. you will always be here in our hearts.

Save us at seat at your bar brother...
We will keep your memory alive till we see you again.

In his obituary, they failed to mention that he is survived by his family here in Texas. The Family that was created in City Streets by Bruce and by our time spent together has been a real family bond. He is survived by us all, he touched our lives in soo many ways. Bruce was loved deeply by those of us lucky enough to be a part of his life and the many years he shared with us. He was the loving father figure to many that needed it, the friend willing to dig into his own pocket to that you could buy a present for your child when times were tough, Bruce was there for us when we fell and picked us up and brushed us off so that we could continue on. He taught us to be better people and be the best versions of ourselves, to not take crap from anyone and to enjoy life.
Bruce was our foundation, he was our rock, he left a deep impression on our lives and it changed us all... for the better.

We raise our glass to you, retell our stories and remember all the joy that you brought to each and every one of us. With a tears in our eyes and a smile on our faces we will keep you in our hearts.
Bruce, you are loved and we will miss you.
