Why Doe's?

We offer a unique atmosphere operating in a building that originally served as Arkansas' first brewery opening its' doors circa 1848.

We have one of the coolest dining rooms, both figuratively and literally, to choose from that you'll find anywhere in our Cellar dining room. It is an architectural masterpiece of stonemasonry, along with the rest of the building.

Our bar is one of the largest in the area with a bourbon selection alone of over 200 different kinds.

We serve one of the finest steaks your mouth will ever taste. Ours are Prime cut, at least 21 days wet-aged, and thicker than you'll find anywhere else.

We have a variety of appetizers, such as the Doe’s Skins, that are incredibly delicious and the perfect primer before the main course. If potatoes aren't your thing, we also offer tamales, shrimp, and mushrooms.

Our sides are the most you'll find at any Doe's location and include newer additions like mac-n-cheese (we sell out nearly every night) and asparagus.

We also have the perfect sweet ending to your meal with cheesecake available with a variety of toppings and our newest addition, Crème Brûlée, offered in vanilla and mocha flavors.

Introducing Angie. She joined us last year and has been an impactful team member for us in many ways. She loves meeting new people and loves the outdoors. On her days off you're likely to find her walking a forest trail or paddling down a river. She'll be working all this week and looks forward to seeing you!

Our building has lived many lives in it's storied past that dates back over 175 years. From the time it was a joyful gathering place to enjoy a L***r b**r with friends and family, settled in a German neighborhood in the mid-19th century, to becoming a grocery store and tenant housing in the early-mid 20th Century.

Then being restored in the 1960's by C. H. Wortz Jr. and his wife Mary and serving as a museum and event space to then becoming a BREWERY again in the 1990's under the Weidman's name (you can find their original wooden sign above our front door under the awning).

And now for the last 2️⃣2️⃣ years and counting, it has been home to the best steakhouse this side of the Mississippi...Doe's Eat Place Fort Smith.

Come enjoy a steak, have a drink, and hear a little about how this old building helped the West and even found it's way into the True Grit story.

We serve Prime Cut beef that has been wet-aged at least 21 days and cooked in highly-seasoned ovens we've been using for over 2 decades. Our beef selections include Filet, Ribeye, T-Bone, Porterhouse, KC Strip, and Sirloin.
