The 86 Room

Directions

The 86 Room The original speak-easy bar of Downtown Fort Myers, serving hand-crafted vintage cocktails. Welcome to The 86 Room, your local speakeasy/prohibition bar!
(1031)

Did you know that in 1933 when prohibition ended, our government gave out liquor licenses allowing no more than 85 persons in any bar, regardless of their occupancy load. This is the origin of the expression "86" which is still widely used in today's service industry. So, step back in time with us, relax, drink, and celebrate! Happy days are here again!
