Our Story
Through a mutual passion and years of friendship, FoCo Bachata has created what we believe to be the best team of professionals for creating local Bachata and Salsa dance events. It is our goal to be genuine and community-oriented in our product.
Owner/Director of Business: Dave Smith -- 6 years dance experience, 3 years teaching, previous manager at the Rio Grande Salsa dance event and currently a dance instructor, private instructor, performance team experience.
Head of Music/DJ: Michael Jay Shaffer -- 21 years DJ experience, 12 years dance experience, 2 years teaching, host of Elliot’s Martini Bar “after-hours” Bachata event, Rio Grande Salsa event dance instructor.
Consultant: Caitlin Ann McLaughlin -- 6 years dance experience, 2 years teaching, Rio Grande Salsa event dance instructor.
