Three young men thought a 77-year-old grandmother would be an easy target. They were wrong.
While withdrawing cash from an ATM in England, Winifred Peel was confronted by three would-be robbers. One tried to distract her while another attempted to steal money from her account.
Instead of backing down, she looked at one attacker and said, “You’re not having my money, young man.” She then grabbed him by the collar and slammed his head into the ATM three times.
The stunned trio fled empty-handed. Police later arrested the suspects, who admitted their roles in the attempted robbery and were sentenced to prison.
