Thursday night at Cliff Bell’s brings Detroit funk, soul, jazz, and groove to the sunburst stage.

Join us for 7 Layers on Thursday, June 25, with showtimes at 7:30 PM & 9:30 PM.

7 Layers is a Detroit-based eclectic funk band blending jazz, blues, Latin, reggae, and soul into a sound built for movement. Expect original music, deep grooves, and covers inspired by artists like Herbie Hancock, Grant Green, Sly & the Family Stone, and Detroit’s own Little Willie John.

Kasan Belgrave and Session take the stage on June 24 for a night of Detroit jazz, original compositions, and fearless improvisation.

A saxophonist and multi-woodwind instrumentalist, Kasan Belgrave brings together early bebop, jazz, fusion, gospel, and the deep musical mentorship of Detroit. His sound is energetic, curious, and rooted in a lineage that continues to shape the city’s music scene.
