CASTING 2017:

Cabaret Bleu at Voodoo Comedy Playhouse is a monthly show of vaudevillian proportion.

About the Venue:

Voodoo Comedy Playhouse is an intimate, classic theater space. We cannot accommodate aerial rigging or large props, nor are fire or water acts permitted within the theater. Glitter showers are strongly discouraged. As in don’t.

About the Show:

Cabaret Bleu is a monthly variety show grounded in comedy in all its many flavors, plus circus/sideshow, magic, burlesque and acoustic music, favoring combinations of those things.

Booking:

Please submit video or a detailed description of your act to: [email protected] Preference is given to acts that enhance the chosen theme for that month’s show.

DECEMBER 15 CABARET BLEU VARIETY SHOW

WINTER MAGIC

Something very magical about Yuletide and winter in Denver just can't be beat. We are looking for acts within the themes of winter, Yuletide, and magic, less about Christmas.

PLEASE SUBMIT BY DECEMBER 1

Our show is small and carefully curated. Preference is given to acts that enhance the chosen theme and demonstrate comedic potential -- our show also includes improv, scripted, and musical comedy; singers, acoustic musicians, spoken word, magic, and more. Acts are selected by the producer, comedy director, and music director together.

Super last minute but the November Cabaret Bleu show, Holiday Blues is BACK ON! One caveat: performers likely will be paid a week or so after the show. IF you still want to perform, pretty please let me know RIGHT AWAY.

ATTENTION: Please be advised that the November edition of Cabaret Bleu -- Holiday Blues -- is cancelled. We are committed to not only putting on a tremendous show but to also offer our performers fair pay. Due to unexpected and truly unwelcome financial circumstances, we do not have the budget for a show this month. We will, however, be back in December without fail. The deadline for applications for Winter Magic 12/15 is November 14. Thank you and much love!
