F%*K! HEY NOW! I hate to write this. I never wanted to write this. But I know that so many of you, whether casually or personally, were affected by the existence of this man in this life time. Our Dan.
He and his beautiful, strong, and wonderful wife Aly, kept his cancer battle very private. And many of you noticed Dan’s absence at first and I honored that wish and sometimes made up silly stories about him climbing Mt Everest or training for marathons, even though to me that’s kind of what he was doing…
Dan wasn’t our first Karaoke host but I don’t think anyone would have an issue with me saying he was the reason our Friday Karaoke became as successful as it is. He laid the foundation. With his wit, consistent dedication, and true love of the craft. He and I would constantly lock eyes and know exactly what each other was thinking. He would check in, I would check in. He would text me often early in the morning because he knew I’d still be up, and he’d send me sarcasm or jokes because he knew I was struggling as well, as if just for a moment to give me a break from my reality. Even still doing this a few weeks ago as who knows what was going through his head.
Javi, thank you for brining Dan into my life. Aly, thank you for letting me keep him for so long. 🖤
I love you Dan! We all love you. Aly, you’re stuck with us for life. Take care of each other. If you get a moment, take a deep breath and send some loving energy to our guy and his family. HEY NOW! 🤍🌹Xo
